The Brief
Evosite are website optimisation specialists. Due to rapid growth of their business they were looking to expand into new offices. Fortunately, they had a remarkable space within sight just across the courtyard from their existing offices in the form of a converted shirt factory. This space was previously used as a gym and so needed a complete refurbishment.
The brief was to create more than the standard office, they wanted something striking and far removed from the norm; something that will leave guests with a lasting and powerful impression to reflect the creativity of their talented team.
The Visualisation
Meeting with the client on several occasions allowed us to work through multiple drafts bouncing ideas around. This found a core style, design and direction. Our designers and visualisers then took this and dressed the plans to create an organic feel, personalised to them and their business needs.
Our specifiers then looked for ways to optimise these plans within the client’s budget requirements while still maintaining a strikingly beautiful look. Working closely with the client our design and visualisation team crafted a modern steampunk style. Also incorporated in our design was the necessary functionality of a modern, working office space.
The Realisation
On completion of the design process our clients trusted Environments for Business with planning this project and managing it throughout.
The age and nature of the premises presented our site team with numerous obstacles to overcome. Firstly, we had to take the building structure a long way from its dilapidated beginnings before work could begin. We truly did convert this premises to fulfil our vision. There were no pre-existing building plans so electrical and plumbing needed a lot of consideration too.
The construction phase was hugely enjoyed by all involved in the process, the result is something of which we are truly proud.
We appointed EFB to design, manage and construct our new office space earlier in 2018. Our business was growing fast and as we were building our new diverse teams we required a space that supported the way we operate. From the very first meeting with the EFB team it was clear they were not only experts in their field but great people to work with. The EFB team was very open to our vision and passionate about what we were trying to create.
The whole process ran incredibly smoothly from start to finish. The end result is incredible which means we finally have an environment that complements our brand and the way we work as a team. The positive comments we have had from our team, clients and partners about the new space EFB have created have come in their hundreds and everyone is totally blown away by the attention to detail and finish.
