Expanding into an adjoining building Cooper Associates required a team who were in the know if the local area and understood their business priorities. Taking inspiration from their existing premises we needed to ensure that the new space wasn’t too different from their existing and ensure that the spaces flowed well. The focus was on creating a fantastic client experience and enhancing the staff facilities, this included a staff Gym are and a large conferencing suite that could be transformed into an events area as well as extending their existing offices.
There were some structural considerations with knocking through the spaces to create a good walk through to the new space, this was almost doubling their space and therefore there were safety considerations on how and where we were to put the knock throughs. Having moved the previous tenant into their new offices on the other side of the town we were in a good position where we were familiar with the building and understood its build and age. Designing the front of house spaces and staff enrichment areas were where we really got to unleash our ideas creating some tech savvy solutions for their AV and ensuring the Gym could function to a commercial standard.
