The Brief
Sports Interactive had worked with us to create their last two offices for them, so when it was time to move to a larger space to accommodate their ever growing team it was an easy choice to go with us again.
The space needed to encompass working space for their large team, flexible meeting suites, space to talk to the entire team, personal offices and the all important Frans Sports Bar. They were so pleased with how the previous ‘Frans’ sports bar turned out in their last offices, the brief on this part was to create the same again, but bigger.
There was a suggestion early days to create an impressive and immersive reception area that really spoke about what Sports Interactive are all about.
The Visualisation
The broadcasting center is BREEAM rated, working with the building management team at HERE EAST we worked to understand the building to ensure what we were proposing was appropriate for the strategy for the building, the unitized chilled beams in place on the site were researched and understood by our design team and the complex server room required by the client was developed alongside their specialists to ensure all fail safes were well thought through and utilised.
We had so much fun developing the ‘Frans’ sports bar area, locker room reception and open plan spaces, the client gave us relative freedom to spread out creative wings and really shout about Sports Interactive Games and incorporate their culture into the space.
The Realisation
The space oozes Sports Interactive’s personality, every corner turned is another nod to their history and culture. It’s a fun and creative place to be that attracts staff and retains them. The ‘Frans’ sports bar is a great success giving both presentation space and break out space for the workforce, the meeting suites flexibility is often utilised to create spaces that suit the occasion. The locker room entrance way is a real talking point that sets expectations of what is to come within the deeper office, the angled desks keeps interest throughout the space and the storage units ensure that each banks personality is able to be expressed. A true success to see the team through the next few years.
