The Brief
When we met Studio Diva they were working out of a town house in Queen Square, Bristol. As a creative company they craved more collaboration space and an open plan feel to their offices whilst maintaining the identity that had become an integral part of their business at Queen Square. The space needed to relay their creativity, aid collaboration and team working whilst retaining a sense of the building history. There was also an upgrade of the data connections to support higher productivity across the team, along with considerations for meeting spaces and an editing suite.
The Visualisation
Working closely with Studio Diva was a joy, with such a creative company, we could bounce our ideas off each other. They were very open minded, and we took a collaborative approach to designing the project. After some back and forth, their vision and enthusiasm became obvious, making it easy to share their excitement about turning our plans into reality.
The Realisation
Studio Diva’s new space is modern and bright, it encompasses the up-to-date feel of the business whilst also being sympathetic to the architecture of the building. With the inclusion of parquet flooring and banded glazing it creates a cool collaborative space for them to successfully conduct business. The use of a new power and data solution, focused on longevity and designed to last the test of time enabled them speedier simple connections. Adding brick slip walls to match the existing brickwork, along with removing the wall cladding on the older side of the building to reveal an architectural arch and original brick surface, really enhances the authenticity of the space.
